Sub adult eastern brown in an office 13.01.14
Gorgeous reddish-brown sub adult eastern brown snake (Pseudonaja textilis) from an office reception area, been hanging behind the cabinets until he came far enough out to catch. Here he is! Still has some of the characteristic juvenile neck banding, though juvenile brown snakes may have banding further down the body, or be a variety of plain brown colours. Hugely variable in colour and often misidentified when juvenile because of this. Very pretty snake!
